IPTV Smarters Pro Setup Guide 2026 — Kemo IPTV
How to set up IPTV Smarters Pro with Xtream Codes or an M3U playlist, which to choose, and the five mistakes behind most failed logins.

IPTV Smarters Pro is the most widely used player across Firestick, Android and iOS, so it is the one most setup problems happen in. Almost all of them come down to the same handful of causes.
Xtream Codes or M3U — pick the right one
Smarters Pro offers two login types and they are not equivalent. Xtream Codes takes a username, a password and a server URL, and it pulls the channel list and the program guide as structured data. M3U takes a single long playlist URL and gives you channels with a much weaker guide.
Use Xtream Codes unless you were specifically sent an M3U link. If you have a username and password, you have Xtream Codes credentials — using them in the M3U field will fail, and the error message will not tell you why.
Entering the details
- 1. Open Smarters Pro and choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
- 2. Any name works in the profile name field. It is a local label, nothing more.
- 3. Type the username and password by hand rather than pasting them.
- 4. Enter the server URL exactly as supplied, including http or https and the port number if there is one.
- 5. Tap Add User and wait. The first load pulls the whole list and can take a minute or two.
The five things that break a login
- A trailing space. Copying credentials from a chat message frequently picks up a space that the field accepts and the server rejects. This is the most common cause by a distance.
- The wrong login type, as above.
- A missing port number. If the URL you were sent ends in a colon and digits, those digits are required.
- http entered where https was supplied, or the reverse. They are not interchangeable.
- The subscription is not active yet. If you have just ordered, it may not be provisioned. Check before assuming the details are wrong.
It logs in but the guide is empty
The program guide downloads separately from the channel list, so a blank guide immediately after setup is normal. Give it several minutes on the first load.
If it is still empty after a refresh and a device restart, check the guide time zone in settings first. A guide offset by several hours looks broken but is only mislabeled. If none of that helps, it is a server-side issue and worth reporting rather than reinstalling.
It logs in but channels buffer
That is a connection problem, not a login problem, and the fixes are different. Wire the device if you can, restart the router, clear the app cache, and try a lower quality tier of the same channel. Our troubleshooting page runs through it in order of likelihood.
When the app disappears from the store
IPTV players are periodically removed from app stores. If yours goes, your subscription is unaffected — the credentials work in any compatible player. TiviMate on Android and GSE on iOS are the usual alternatives. Ask your provider which they currently recommend rather than sideloading something from a search result.
Try it rather than take our word for it
Everything above is easier to judge on your own connection than from a page about it.
